In the Confined Water portion of the PADI Open Water Diver Course, you'll learn scuba skills in a controlled environment such as a swimming pool. In this part of the course you'll learn how to check and set up your gear and basic skills like removing water from your mask without surfacing. You'll also practice emergency skills such as sharing air and replacing your mask underwater. Along the way, you'll have time to get used to the SCUBA gear, practice buoyancy control skills, and you'll play some underwater games.
Over the course of the Confined Water portion, you'll master the skills required to dive safely in an open water environment, and become comfortable using SCUBA equipment.
