The Knowledge Development portion of the PADI Open Water Course is designed to give you an understanding of the principles of SCUBA diving.  You'll learn terminology, how water pressure affects your body, how to select SCUBA gear, how to plan safe dives, and much more.

After each of the 5 study sections, you'll complete a short "Knowledge Review" to help you understand what you've covered.  You and your instructor will review anything you have questions on, and then you will take a short quiz to ensure your understanding of what's been covered.

The Knowledge Development portion finishes with a slightly longer quiz covering the 5 chapters you've studied.
